Regina Gerrity, 51, of Pittston, died Sunday of natural causes at her home. She was the wife of Edward Gerrity, who died in 2008.
Born in Scranton on Oct. 26, 1959, she was the daughter of Regina Palutis, Newton Twp., and the late Arthur Donvito. Jeannie was educated at Abington Heights High School and graduated in 1977.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit. She was a talented artist and photographer, and she enjoyed cooking, as she was a former chef. She also enjoyed her many trips to Alaska, fishing and camping. Jeannie loved to read Stephen King, and she was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
Also surviving are two sons, Edward Gerrity and wife, Sarah, Taylor; and James Gerrity, Ogden, Utah; a sister, Annette Kutyna, Kodiak, Alaska; two grandchildren, Olivia Yvonne and Benjamin Edward Gerrity; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Friends and family may go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery at a later date.
