Rebecca Harper, formerly Rebecca Phillips, 48, died Sunday at home.

Born in Scranton and raised in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of Ruth DiPietro Lewis, Clarks Summit, and Thomas R. Phillips, Scranton. She was a 1978 graduate of Abington Heights High School and attended Bergen Community College, New Jersey.

Rebecca was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, friend and mother.

Also surviving are a son, Roderick Harper, Boulder, Colo.; a brother, Sean Phillips and wife, Lori, and their children, Lowell and Wynn, all of Nicholson; a sister, Alexis Lounsbery and husband, John, and their children, Masen,? Baylor and John, all of Boulder; and her stepmother, Patricia Phillips, Scranton.

She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Anna Phillips; her maternal grandparents, the Rev. Frank and Maria DiPietro; and her stepfather, John P. Lewis.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be Saturday at noon in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with the Rev. Terry Drost, pastor of the Peckville Assembly of God, officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
