Raymond D. "The Quail" Bagg, 62, Scranton, formerly of Dalton, died Monday morning at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Scranton on July 2, 1948, he was the son of Donald Bagg, Factoryville and the late Mabel Hetzel Bagg. He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era and was employed with the Scranton Housing Authority.
Ray lived life to the fullest, he loved socializing, casino trips and spending time with his family. He will truly be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Also surviving are a sister, Jeanne Myers and her companion, Jess, Dalton; a brother David A. Bagg, Dalton; nieces, Trisha McGinnis and Davina Larson; nephews Daniel Coelho and Devin Myers; step mother, Mary Gardner Bagg; step sister, Tina Ross; step nephew, Robert Ross along with several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his nephew Don "D.J." Myers.
The funeral will be on Friday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by the Rev. Paul Fields, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Abington, Waverly. Interment will be in Shoemaker Cemetery, Dalton.
