Ralph Carlacci, Sr. of Clarks Summit, died at 87 on Monday evening in the Allied Skilled Nursing Facility in Scranton. His wife of 57 years is the former Anna Mae Zike.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Joseph and Theresa Genovesi Carlacci. He is survived by his brother Joseph Carlacci of Las Vegas, NV., Anna Carlacci Gurley and Theresa Capalongo of Scranton. He was a Central High School graduate and star football player.
He was an avid bowler. He loved photography, music and collected antiques. He was employed at Standard Beef and was a professional drummer in the Poconos for 30 yrs. with his own Ralph Carl band. Prior to retirement he was a union representative for the UFCW local 72. He was a devout Catholic in the parish of Our Lady of the Snows church.
Surviving children are Dr. Nadine Carlacci-Davis of Clarks Summit, Maura Carlacci of Scranton, Ralph Carlacci, II and Inez Carlacci of Denver, Colorado. He has 5 surviving grandchildren: Edward Carlacci-Mazaleski, Christine Englehardt, Nico, Ralph III and Chanel Carlacci.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
