Phillip Jude Wells, 45, Clarks Summit died Monday afternoon,  after a courageous battle with cancer at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.  His wife is the former Bobbi Joanne Compton, they were married on April 12, 1997 and would have celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary this year.

Born May 16, 1972 in Montour Falls New York, he was the son of the late Norman R. and Margaret Hawes Wells.  He was a manager at Wegmans where he was well liked by his coworkers.

Phil always enjoyed making sure everyone around him had a smile on their face and was happy.

Also surviving are three children, Marshall X., Ariel M., and Blake P. Wells all living at home; brothers, Norm and his wife Nancy, Ithaca, NY, David, Lodi, NY and Steven, Ovid, NY; a sister Beth McPherson and her husband Steve, Florida.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the BMT unit at Jeans Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Fung, Dr. Pancari, local ambulance crews, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and their wonderful friends for their warm hearted support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Friday at 11am from the Clarks Summit Volunteer Fire Company.  Friends may call on Thursday evening from 4-7pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been set up for the children; checks may be made payable to "Bobbi Wells" C/O Citizens Savings Bank, PO Box 567 Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
