An all-around daredevil and adventure seeker, Phil packed more in to his short life than most can only dream of in a lifetime.
Phil was happiest when was he was skiing the massive peaks of Chamonix, France and other favorite spots like Beaver Creek and Vail, Colorado. He recently climbed Anconcagua the tallest mountain in both the western and southern hemispheres at 22,838 ft. In his own words, "all that matters is my time in the mountains. The rest is arbitrary."
Phil was a voracious reader who was especially inspired by the works of Ernest Hemmingway, Hunter S. Thompson and Jack Kerouac. A strong swimmer and fearless cliff diver, Phil was often photographed leaping off gorges backwards, always ready for the next challenge. An avid photographer himself, he captured many of his breathtaking adventures in black and white with dramatic backdrops from his travels.
His cousins Theresa and Jenna, as well as her children, were fortunate to spend much time recently with Phil in Colorado. While cooking and relaxing and catching up, Phil regaled them with his latest adventures.

Phil loved his motorcycle and especially cherished a few recent rides with his Dad. From his Dad, Phil had the inherent ability to fix anything with his innate engineer's eye, as well as to remain calm and easy going in any situation.
Phil was truly someone who saw the very best in everyone, a trait he inherited from his mother.
His closest friend and confidante was his sister, Kristie, of Philadelphia. Even though they were separated by many miles as adults, they always remained close.

Philip knew there were places to see, feel and breathe here on earth that were truly heaven. He reveled on the peaks of the highest mountains, skied lines that most only dream about, and relished the freedom of falling into cool, deep waters. He had a kind and fearless approach to life that created many memories with all those who ventured out into the mountains, up the cliffs and down the rivers with him.

A celebration of Philip's life will be held Wednesday 5pm to 8pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services at 7pm.

Philips ashes will be scattered in his beloved mountains including the French Alps, the peaks in the Colorado mountains, Mount Denali in Washington State, and the Anconcagua Mountain in Argentina.
