Peter Vellis, Clarks Summit, died Thursday in the VNA Hospice Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. His wife is the former Olivia Spilios.
Born in New York City, he was an Army Air Guard veteran of WWII. He was an inventor, creating the first masking tape and served as vice president of Tuck Tape prior to his retirement.
Also surviving is a son Michael Vellis, Clarks Summit.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
