Patricia Ann Kipp, Dickson City died Tuesday morning at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA in Scranton. She was married to Robert F. Kipp, the couple had been married for 20 years.
Born in Scranton she is the late Aloysius and Shirley E. Phillips Coggins. Prior to her illness she was a server for the Villa Rosa and Casa Bella Restaurants in Scranton. She was a 1968 graduate of Abington Heights High School and was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City, formerly attending Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit.
Patti enjoyed painting, crafting, doing ceramics and working word puzzles. She was very kind hearted and showed compassion to everyone she met. Never afraid to let you know what she was thinking, Patti was strong willed with a committed work ethic and a very warm heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is also survived by two sons Michael Patronick and his wife Tina, Old Forge, Jemini Johnson, Dickson City; two daughters, Jade Risner and her husband Larry Jr., Dickson City, and Michele Gavin and her husband Dan, Eynon; two stepsons, James and Jason Kipp, both of Dickson City; a step daughter, Jacqueline Kipp, Nanticoke; three sisters, Linda Hill, Clarks Summit, Allison Mariani and her husband Ranny, South Beach, FL and Kathleen Hoffman, Falls; grandchildren, Miranda Kipp, Marina Kate Johnson, Cory Lasky, Zach Meckes, Mackenzie Gavin, Lawrence Risner III, Lucas and Lexee Risner, Aaron Edward, Analiese, Samari and Deomar Romans, and DJ Gavin Jr.; a great grandson, Vincent Gavin III; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Malinauskas, Karen Petrilak, and Debborah Wilbur.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday at 9:30 am from the St. Mary's Visitation Church, 1090 Carmalt St., Dickson City, PA 18519. A Celebration of Patricia's life will be held immediately after the service at her sister's home at 121 Upper Camp Lane, Falls, PA 18615. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for the family may be sent to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
