Patricia A. Heil, 87, died at her home in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on Monday, January 3.  She was the widow of Robert W. Heil, who died in 1996.

Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Ann McHale Ratchford and was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 1952.  Prior to retirement, she was an office manager at Ferranti Brothers and lived in Clarks Summit and Waverly, Pennsylvania.  After retirement, she moved to North Fort Myers, Florida, where she resided for 25 years before moving to Lakewood Ranch.

Surviving are daughter Debra Foote and husband Raymond, Bradenton, FL; granddaughter Vanya Foote, husband Dave Smith and great grandson August Smith, Smyrna, GA; sister Joan Lloyd and husband Kenneth, Scranton, PA; nephew Kenneth Patrick Lloyd, Somerville, MA; and niece Janice Simler and husband Brian Robert and grand nephews Nathaniel and Maxwell, Westford, MA.

Patricia enjoyed a wide range of activities to include bridge, golfing, dancing and swimming.  She loved the ocean.  Patricia also enjoyed travel and cruising, both in the U.S. and abroad.  Her favorite trips included Greece, Italy, Ireland and a Rhine riverboat cruise.  She was always ready to go anywhere, especially New York City for Broadway plays; Atlantic City trips with friends for the casinos; and Las Vegas where she could enjoy both the entertainment and the casinos in one place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Interment will follow at Abington Hills Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
