Patricia Crouse, formally Patricia Peoples, 72, of Clarks Summit, passed away unexpectedly Friday at home. Her husband of 31 years is Stuart Crouse.
Born in Glendale, she is the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Lubeck Peoples. She graduated from Falls Overfield High School in 1960 and was a long- standing member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, post 7069.
Her profession as a house cleaner led to a special and rare friendship with the Nivert Family. At heart, she was a caretaker and found great joy in caring for the elderly. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family that led to a unique and special bond with her children and, especially, her grandchildren. She touched many hearts and was always ready to lend a hand to help anyone.
She loved Elvis and over the last several years enjoyed going to see Elvis tribute artists. Throughout the years, she enjoyed shuffleboard, playing pinochle, puzzles, sitting in her cabana drinking coffee and going to Mill City for ice cream. She was an avid gamer and spent many hours making lasting memories playing video games with her grandchildren. She also loved her pets, Bud and Hussy, and took great care of them.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Frenchko, Clarks Summit; Joanna Morris and husband Scott, Collegeville; two sons Gerald Reedy, Clarks Summit; Joseph Kaczmarek and wife Jennifer, Collegeville; a brother, Gerald Peoples, Dalton; nine grandchildren, Lacey, Lucas, Noah, Max, Julianna, Gabby, Jennifer, Sheri, and Dylan; three great- grandchildren; Cassie, Chris and Sophia.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Arthur, James, Robert, Patrick, and William.
A funeral service will be held will be held on Friday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
