Noah Thatcher

Noah Thatcher, 11, of Tunkhannock passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, alongside his parents, Peter and Sandra Thatcher, and his adored sister Layla, following an accident.

He was born on March 1, 2015, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Noah was a 6th grade student at Tunkhannock Intermediate Center whose kind heart, bright spirit, and genuine excitement for life made him deeply loved by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He loved his church and school friends and enjoyed the time he was able to spend with them. He had recently taken on a role he was incredibly proud of, his first "job" as an usher at Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church. Noah took his new responsibility very seriously and would not let anyone walk through the church doors without making sure he opened the door for them.

His church was an important part of Noah's life. He loved singing at church, spending time with his church friends, and being involved whenever he could. He also looked forward to his time at Rock Mountain Bible Camp, where he enjoyed the friendships, activities, and memories made there.

Noah had an enthusiasm for the things he loved, and there were many. He could spend hours building and creating with LEGOs and was a big fan of Pikachu. One of his favorite characters was Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. He also loved riding his bike and simply enjoying the fun and adventure that came with being a kid.

Anyone who knew Noah also knew how much he loved food. He was happy eating just about anything and also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking. Noah especially loved swimming, whether he was spending a summer day swimming at the lake or enjoying the water at Bible camp.

Among the things most special to Noah was his favorite blanket. It was a source of comfort and familiarity to him, something he loved having close.

He is survived by his paternal grandparents, Alan and Trisha (Puhl) Thatcher; maternal grandparents, Vito and Lou Ann (Wrubel) Rinaldi; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the Thatcher Family's name to the BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge), 1445 North Boonville Ave, Springfield, MO 65802.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to honor the Thatcher Family on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM from the Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church, 181 Bridge St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM from the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
