Nicholas Percival

Nicholas Percival, 87, Clarks Summit, passed away on Wednesday afternoon at Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. He was preceded in death in 2021 by his wife of 62 years, Carole Marie Trager Percival.

Born in Susquehanna, he was the son of the late Ralph and Susan Mazzatta Percival. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Before retirement, he was a truck driver for Fowler & Williams Trucking. Nick was an avid golfer and deer hunter and was a member of Conklin Players Club in New York. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit and the Chinchilla Hose Company.

He is survived by his children, Nick Percival Jr. and wife Julie, Clarks Summit, Kelly Cheney and husband Marshall, Inverness, FL, Randy Percival and wife Rachel, Tunkhannock, and Tony Percival and wife Heather, South Abington Twp; grandchildren Robbie, Julian, Gabrielle, Randy, Grace, and Tony; several great grandchildren; brothers Michael and wife Joanne,  Throop, and Richard and wife Terry, Maryland; sister Maria Larioni and husband John, Dickson City; and several nieces and nephews.

Nick was preceded in death by a brother John and sisters Joan Percival, Catherine McCormack, Romayne Charney, and Patty Percival.

A memorial mass for both Nick and his wife Carole will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Reverend Stephen A. Asomah, Assistant Pastor. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gino Merli Veterans Center.
