Nello Marzani, 88, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Clarks Summit, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, at Legacy House Hospice of Marion County, Ocala, Fla., after an illness. His beloved wife of 64 years is the former Ann Trussell of Charlestown, W. Va.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Bruno Marzani and Emma Giombetti. He was a graduate of Clarks Summit High School, as well as a WWII Veteran. Nello was in the Naval service and served as a Pharmacist Mate on the Chelsea Naval Hospital Ship in Boston, Mass. He also graduated from Dry Cleaning School in Silver Springs, Md. He was a Dry Cleaner and the owner of Marzani's One Hour Cleaners for 53 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Eva McCracken and husband, Jay, Factoryville; and Ava Shayka and husband, Gene, Tompkinsville; two brothers, Daniel Marzani, Olyphant; and Bruno Marzani Jr. and sister-in-law, Susan, Clarks Summit; a sister, Rita Smith, Ocala, Fla.; an uncle, Edward Giombetti, Jessup; six grandchildren, Garrett McCracken, La Plume; Melaina McCracken, Factoryville; Jennifer Sanders and husband, Marc, Bellingham, Wash.; Kristofer Holt and wife, Amy, Peckville; Derek Shayka and wife, Carly, Eynon; and Jared Shayka and wife, Reka, Eynon; eleven great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a loving father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Nicholson Cemetery.
