Narciso Rivera-Burgos Sr. of South Abington Twp., formerly of Scranton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15th.  He was surrounded by his family.  He was the widow of Ana Maria DelValle-Rivera who passed on May 11, 2004.
Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Genaro Rivera and Maria Burgos-Rivera.  He retired from Kamenstein's Hardware in NYC.  He was a proud member of the U.S. Army.  He served in the Korean war.
He is survived by his daughter Nancy SanFilippo, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and over 60 nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by 3 sons: Roberto, Narciso Jr., and Felix Rivera, and 3 of his siblings.
A graveside service, with military honors will be held at Linden Hill Methodist Cemetery in Queens, New York.
