Naoma Jane Stone

Naoma Jane Stone, 84, of Millerstown, formerly of Waverly, died Friday, January 5, at the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Campus in Mechanicsburg. She was the wife of Benjamin Stone who died on March 12, 2017.

Born in Toronto, Ohio, Naoma was the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorotha Leasure. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Ohio.  She was a member of the Shermans Dale Seventh-day Adventist Church and a former member of the Tunkhannock and Scranton Seventh-day Adventist Churches.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and caring for her cats. Naoma was a wonderful baker and a great cook.  She had previously worked at the Waverly Community House and the Waverly United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Benny Stone, Factoryville; and David Stone and his wife Cathy, Redlands Ca; two daughters, Margaret Davies, Factoryville; and Dottie Yates and her husband Mike, Millerstown; seven grandchildren Bryan Yates, Becky Page and her husband Dustin; Nicole, Seth, and Tabitha Davies, and Aiden and Erin Stone; Paul "Paco" Cozzoli, who considered her a mom, and his wife Ann, Nicholson; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Shermans Dale Seventh Day Adventist Church on February 18 at 11 am.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly, PA.
