Nancy A. Wescott

Nancy A. Wescott, 50, of Falls Twp. passed away Tuesday morning at her home. She was the wife of James Wescott. The high school sweethearts had been married for over 32 years.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she is the daughter of Michael and Barbara Miller Rowlands. She was a graduate of Summit Christian Academy, formerly The Baptist High School. Nancy devoted her life to raising and taking care of her family. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother endearingly referred to as Nana who was known for her hospitality. She devoted a lifelong of service to caring for the elderly or anyone who may have needed help in any way. She enjoyed gardening, and was also a Sunday school teacher for 20 years and a high school girls soccer coach for 25 years. Above all, her main passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sons James Wescott, II and his wife Angela, Fairfax Va.; and Michael Wescott and his wife Aly, Factoryville; a daughter Elizabeth Bates and her husband Matthew, Falls Twp.; two sisters Melissa Randall and her husband Timothy, Overfield Twp; and Amanda Banta and her husband William, Falls; six grandchildren Madelyn, Lincoln, Vivian, and Charlotte Wescott, and Grace and Samuel Bates; lifelong friends Mike and Patty Mitchell; Clarks Summit; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 pm from Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Vernard Rd. S. Abington Twp. 18411, with services by Rev. Glen Amos, Pastor. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly. A live feed of the service can be viewed at www.facebook.com/NancyAnnWescott/

In honor of Nancy's hospitality, visitation and condolences will be held at her home Friday from 3 to 7pm at 907 Highland Road, Dalton Pa. 18414.
