Nancy Ann Jones

Nancy Ann Jones, 78, of Nicholson, died Tuesday evening at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard T. Jones who died in 1996 and was later wed to the late Thomas Jones who died in 2009.

Born in Newark NJ she was the daughter of the late Paul and Estelle Phillips Ryan. She was educated in Newark NJ and prior to her retirement she was employed as a central supply Tech for Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She attended and was a very active volunteer for St. Patrick's church in Nicholson.

Also very near and dear to her heart was volunteering for My Brother's Keeper Sleeping Bag Project, which supplied the homeless with handmade sleeping bags. Nancy enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Surviving are two sons Richard Jones and his wife Nancy, Travelers Rest SC; and Paul Jones and his wife Debra, Clarks Summit; two daughters Iris Kundla and her husband Bill, New Foundland; and Allison McCawley and her husband Thomas, Beloit WI; a sister Patricia Windt, Dorrance Pa.; two brothers Robert Ryan N.C.; and Michael Ryan, Dover NJ; sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with services by Father Paul White. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.
