Nancy Connell Hill of Scott Township died peacefully Thursday October 26; one week before her 83rd Birthday. She is dearly loved by her family and friends who will forever cherish the opportunity they had to spend time with her in her final days.

Widow of the late David J. Hill who died in 2005, Nancy's remaining family are: daughters Judy Vescovi, Dorrien Togher and husband Jim, a son David Hill and wife Gudrun Feigl, her twin brother Nelson Connell and wife Sherry; grandchildren: Benjamin Vescovi and wife Angelica Nelson, James Togher, Drew Togher, Marcy Hill and great grandson Skye Vescovi.

Born in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late E. William and Mary Nichols Connell. She was a 1953 graduate of Clarks Summit Abington High School. She worked at The Third National Bank and received recognition for the many years she worked for Allied as a Homemaker; just two of the varied jobs she enjoyed. Nancy was a longtime, faithful member of the First Presbyterian church in Clarks Summit. She was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the church Choir, and was very committed to her church Circle. She was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Comm-Unity Club. She enjoyed swimming, art projects, cooking and entertaining friends and family. Nancy was a fun loving, adventurous, free spirit. She was kind and never had a bad word to say. She always had a casserole for a sick friend and an encouraging word for all. She is best known for her smile and laughter even in the face of challenging times. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and good friend.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all of her caregivers, included are: Her grandson James, Linda Robinson and Doreen Healy.

Friends may call on Thursday November 2nd from 4-7 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.

A memorial service will be held November 11, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church 300 School St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, to be officiated by Rev. William P Carter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 300 School St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, the Countryside Conservancy PO Box 55, La Plume, PA 18440, or an organization of the donor's choice.
