Ann Elizabeth (Nancy) Judge Flannery, Clarks Summit, died Monday morning at Clarks Summit Senior Living.  Born in Scranton in 1937, she was the daughter of Myles Francis and Marie Agnes Foley Judge.

Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Scranton State General Hospital of Nursing and served as a nurse in the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) as well as the Clarks Summit State Hospital.  Nancy especially enjoyed her work at the VNA since it appealed to her love of teaching.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.

Nancy was like a second mother to the surviving fourteen nieces and nephews -  Jerry (Denise) Judge, Mary Ellen (William) Judge Lewis, Patrick (Lynette) Judge, Michael (Diana) Judge, Joseph (Grace) Judge, Maureen (John) Judge Cerniglia, Brian Judge, Robert (Ellen) Judge, Kathleen Albright, Rebecca Ann Dodson, Susan Zalesky, Karen Judge, Jennifer (Matthew) Judge McManus, Jeffrey (Jocelyn) Judge.

Nancy was a good and caring friend.  She would go out of her way for anyone.  She leaves behind so many dear friends, Faye James, Betty Lee Kennedy, Gail Chester, and Flannery family members, to name just a few.  Most recently, Nancy was living at Clarks Summit Senior Living and became close to many of the staff who cared for her with loving attention.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Myles, Robert, Thomas, and James Judge and a sister, Mary Judge Zalesky.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit.  All those attending are asked to go directly to the church.  Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
