Nancy Clark, 96, of Factoryville, died Thursday morning at Abington Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Glenn Clark. The couple would have been married for 74 years on Nov. 1.
Born in Lysander, N.Y., daughter of the late Ezra and Viola Coville Baker, Nancy was a graduate of Lysander High School and before retirement worked as an L.P.N. at the West Side Hospital and Adams Manor. She was a member of Clarks Green United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star in Binghamton, N.Y., and Daughters of the Nile.
Nancy was a Cub Scout leader and was an accomplished quilter and creator of hooked rugs.Also surviving are two sons, James Clark and wife, Barbara, La Plume; and Robert and wife, Fran, Nicholson; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Clark; Melissa Rising and husband, James; David Clark and wife, Nora; Kristen McCarty and husband, Mike; Daniel Clark and wife, Carol; Robby Clark, Robyn Gearhart and Timothy Clark; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd Baker, Oneonta, N.Y.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Nellie.A funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Clarks Green United Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road, Clarks Green, by the Rev. Brent Stouffer, pastor. Interment will follow in Center Isle New York Cemetery.
