Michael Thomas

Michael Thomas, 25, of Taylor died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was born in Danville on January 10, 1990, and it is not often in this life that we have the blessing to know someone as beautiful as Mike.

His generosity and his loving kindness were beyond compare. He was the type of person who wanted to come along side you and help in any way that he could. He wanted everyone to be happy and he would go out of his way to make you laugh. Family and friends were his concern and spending time with them brought him great joy. He loved the holidays that brought everyone together and he loved being a good father to Gabriel. He found peace in the outdoors, and enjoyed the adventures of hunting, fishing and camping. He rolled with the punches and still chose to see the good in this world.

He is survived by his grandmother, Louisa Thomas, and his adoptive mother and aunt, Tina Lysak, both of Clarks Summit; mother and father, Tammy and Michael Motovidlac, both of Wilkes-Barre; and a sister, Heather Blanchard, Clarks Summit.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gabriel Thomas; his adoptive father and uncle, Jeff Lysak; his sister, Nicole Thomas; maternal great-grandparents, Martha and Carl Balliet Sr.; and grandfather, Charles Thomas.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Milwaukee Cemetery
