Michael J. Hricenak, 80, of Ransom Twp., died Thursday evening at home. He was the husband of the former Virginia Snyder.
Born in Ransom Twp., son of the late Stephen and Mary Hricenak, he was employed in the masons labor union and was a very skillful stone mason. He was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church, Old Forge.
Surviving are four sons, David and wife, Pat, Tennessee; Byron, Mill City; James, Mill City; and Keith, Grand Rapids, Mich.; a daughter, Melissa, and very dear family friend, Russell Elgin, Mill City; two brothers, Joseph, Dupont; and Steven, Old Forge; two sisters, Margie, Pittson; and Sophie, Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Laura, Greg, Kristen, Michael and Joseph.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Mary; and five brothers, John, William, Stephen, Andrew and George.
Parastas will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418. S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Gary J. Mensinger, pastor of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
