Michael P. Castellano, 69, of Scranton, died Saturday morning at Northeast Regional Hospice after an extended illness.
Born in Irving, Texas, he was the son of the late Michael and Florence Castellano. He was a talented certified mechanic who enjoyed working on automobiles. Michael was a tractor-trailer driver and enjoyed the opportunity it afforded him to see many great places. Earlier in his life he was a professional stock car driver.
Surviving are two sons, Michael and wife, Judy, of Clarks Summit; and Stephen and companion, Ashley Lowe, Old Forge; a brother, Robert and wife, Karen, Sparta, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Gabriel, Old Forge; Sailor and Marina, Clarks Summit.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Daniel.
A blessing service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
