Merial V. Simoncelli, of Dalton, died Thursday afternoon. Her husband was the late Benedict P. Simoncelli.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Nora Dempsey Broadhurst, she attended Scranton Central High School and resided in Dalton with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Robert and Joseph; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne; a sister-in-law, Kay; two granddaughters, Christine and Maureen; a great-grandson, Ben; a great-grandaughter, Gianna; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Broadhurst.
The funeral will be Monday with Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, Dalton.
Entombment, St Francis Cemetery, Eynon. Friends are asked to go directly to church.
Friends may call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, Dalton; or Mercy Hospice.
