Maureen Reese

Maureen J. Reese, 69, of South Abington Twp., died peacefully on Wednesday August 15, 2018 at Allied Services Hospice in Scranton.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late David and Alfreda Poskaitis Reese. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kings College, and was employed as an Office Manager for Kane Logistics for over 27. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and was active in the church choir for many years.

Maureen was active in local spinning and knitting clubs, and loved spending time with her dear friends in her book club.

Surviving are her nephews Michael Baltusavich Jr., Coraopolis PA, and David Baltusavich, Union City PA, as well as 2 grandnieces and 3 grandnephews and cousins Eileen Gibas Kmetz and Evelyn Petrash as well as numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her sister Bronwyn R. Baltusavich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 9:30am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA. Interment will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery in Nanticoke.

Friends may call on Friday, September 7, from 4 to 7 at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit,PA 18411.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, in honor of her beloved cats, Shelby and Neville.
