It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Lou Williams-Davis announce her passing. Her husband of 11 years is Jeffery David Davis, and her first husband of 48 years was George H. Williams who died on March 2, 2000.
Born in Milwaukee, PA, Mary Lucretia was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Christina Blackwell Ayers. After serving in the military, Mary Lou married and devoted herself to her family and education. She earned numerous degrees from Marywood College and taught for 25 years at the Mill City Elementary School. She also was very active in both her church and her community.
Mary Lou will be greatly missed by her husband, Jeff Davis, her five children and their spouses, Ron Williams of Milford, NH, Tina Stuble of Fleetville, Susan (Glenn) Oliver of Petersburg, NJ, Don Williams of Factoryville, and Janette (Mick) Cross of Magnolia, NC, her stepsons and their spouses, Michael (Christine) Davis of Leominster, MA and Ben (Francie) Davis of South Bend, IN, and Bharpoor (Puneet) Kang of Clarks Summit. Fifteen grandchildren, Sarah, Becky, Ben, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Kameron, Chelsy, Lily, Armaan, Judy, Nicholas, Ronan, Mollie, and Colleen, and nine great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Samantha, Masey, Cooper, Greyson, Chloe, Stevie, Daniel, and Brayden, will also miss her terribly.
A celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held on Sunday, November 5 th , at 1 pm at the Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S. Turnpike Rd., Dalton, PA with services by Rev. T.J. McCabe. Mary Lou loved colorful things, so everyone attending is asked to wear bright colors in her honor. Friends may call on Saturday, November 4 th , from 4-7pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dalton United Methodist Church.
