Mary "June" Walter, 85, died Tuesday at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro, Del. She was the widow of Byron J. Walter, who died in 1987.
Born July 12, 1927, daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Bill Ruddy, she was proud of her nursing training and did private duty work for a number of families.
She is survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Christine F. Hines-Hoesch and Francine M. Walter.
A blessing service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by Monsignor James McGarry. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Nicholson, weather permitting.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AutismSpeaks.org.
