O Mother
When I was born
You carried me
You cared for me
Wherever we would go
It was all I needed to know

One day you put me down
You took my hand
And made me stand
Then we took the first step
And we walked to and fro
You cared for me
It was all I needed to know

Not so much later
You led me through life
Held me up when I stepped back
And nudged me forever forward
You cared for me
By letting me go
It was all I needed to know

And today I care for you
I hold your hand
I sit and bow my head
And pray you find your peace
And rest at last
It was all I needed to know
And now I let you go

Good bye Mom Mom
