Mary Salada, 97, of West Abington Twp., died Tuesday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. Her husband was Joseph J. Salada Sr., who passed in 1973.
Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Drutherosky (Richard) and Deborah Kura (Joseph), of West Abington Twp.; sons, Stephen, Jackson, Pa.; and Ronald, Hanover, Md.; daughter-in-law, Betty, Lenoir City, Tenn.; a sister, Arlene Richter, West Abington Twp.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph J. Salada Jr.; a grandson, David; and daughter-in-law, Verna; brothers, Frank, Andrew and Anthony; sisters, Bertha, Rose and Anna; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, 207 Seminary Road, Dalton, Pa., with services by the Rev. Arbogaste Satoun, pastor. Masking and social distancing protocols are in place. There will be no public viewing. Interment will follow at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Minooka. Graveside services will be private at the request of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
