Mary Ann Jones Ware, 91, of Clarks Summit passed away on November 5 with her family by her side. She was a resident of Allied Terrace for many years. Her beloved husband of 45 years, Harry L. Ware Sr. died in April 2013.

Born on July 26,1929 in Taylor. She was the daughter of Thomas and Edna Evans Jones. She attended Taylor High School and studied cosmetology in Scranton and at Charles of the Ritz in New York and Toronto and won several awards. She worked at General Electric during WW2 and had beauty salons in Taylor, Scranton, & Clarks Summit.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Robert, her son Edward Lutkowski and wife, Linda, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Ross Ware.

She loved to shop and was always dressed beautifully. She loved to host summer and holiday parties. She adored her shelties and the color red. She will be missed by all who loved her. Thank you to the staff at Allied Terrace for their kindness.

Surviving are sons, Harry Ware, Jr. and companion Pam Valvano, Clarks Summit and Englewood, Florida, and Thomas Lutkowski and wife Doreen, Taylor; daughters Joan Ware Hess and husband James, Factoryville, and Kristine Rhodes and husband Robert, Ransom; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be planned for July 2021.
