Mary Janet (Moses) Heise, 73, of Falls, PA died March 6 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA following a lengthy illness.   She was the wife of Cecil (Skip) Heise
Born March 8, 1943 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae (Britton) Moses.  She graduated in 1961 from Clarks Summit (Abington) High School and attended The King's College, Briarcliff Manor, NY.
She had positions early in her career as an administrative assistant and then as a bank teller, but her proudest vocation was the years she spent as a stay at home mom.  She emphasized the importance of education, faith, and family, and regularly advocated for these values in her children's lives. She enjoyed babysitting and was thrilled to welcome three grandchildren of her own.  She loved spending time with them and sharing their accomplishments with others. She was an avid crafter and a member of the Caring Hands charity knitting/crocheting group in Clarks Summit.  She also loved to make and share baby items near and far.
Also surviving are three children, Martha Heise and husband, Bill (Bubba) Howenstine, Shawnee on Delaware; Mark Heise and wife, Jessica, Scranton; Mimi Heise and husband, Brian Charles, Downingtown; three grandsons: Ashton, Wesley, and Greyson. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Moses.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 11 at 11 AM at the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, 326 Maple Dr, Mill City, PA.  There will be no public calling hours. Everyone attending the service may proceed directly to church.
The family appreciates the compassion and care shown by extended family, friends, community members, and caregivers who reached out, visited, and offered assistance during her illness.
