Mary "Molly" Reid Farinola, South Abington Twp., died Friday evening at her home. She was the wife of Conrad Farinola. The couple married on Aug. 1, 1987.
From Olyphant, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Early Reid, Molly graduated Bishop O'Hara High School in Dunmore and earned a master's degree from Marywood University in early childhood education. She was a teacher for 24 years at St. Mary's School in Avoca as well as a CCD teacher for the Holy Cross Church, where she was a member.
Molly was a talented artist, working with paint, photography and many other mediums. She was an accomplished quilter who loved collaborating with the quilt group at South Abington Library. She enjoyed reading, baking and traveling—especially to the beach. She was a caring friend to many. Above all else, Molly was a devoted mother of four and a loving wife who will be dearly missed.
Also surviving are four children, Leah Farinola, Pittsburgh, Kayla, James and Noah Farinola, all of South Abington Twp.; and a nephew.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Reid, who died in 1994.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from Holy Cross Parish, 220 Delaware Ave., Olyphant.
All those attending Mass are asked to go directly to church.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
