Mary Jean Englemier Cass, Glenburn Twp., died Friday at home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her companion of five years is Sam Gabriel.
Born Jan. 20, 1938, in Clarks Summit, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Leskauskas Englemier, she was a 1955 graduate of Clarks Summit High School. She had owned and operated the Town Sampler Gift Shop in Easton and later worked in sales for the Aurora Co. before her retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Thomas and husband, Paul; and Cindy Nickerson and husband, Marcus; two sons, Robert and Steven; and 10 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Englemier Parry.
A private graveside service will be held at Abington Hills Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
