Mary "Lorraine" Chrzan, 84, passed away on Monday, April 25 th , at the Jewish Home in Scranton, PA.
Born October 13, 1937 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Walton Lysak. She was preceded in death by brothers Eugene, Leonard and Lawrence Lysak.
Surviving are her daughter, Eugenia "Gina" Chrzan and fiancé Byron Chandler; sons Steven and Stanley "Chickie" Chrzan and wife Angela; sister Regina Lysak; grandchildren Kaylee Bachman, Holly, Michael and Skylar Chrzan, Rachel Myers and husband Kyle with "baby on the way"; and great grandchildren Damien and Nathan.
Lorraine cherished her loving family and friends. She enjoyed baking, photography, sewing prize winning Halloween costumes, writing award winning poetry, and praying.
Most of all, she was known for her natural ability to make people laugh with her witty sense of humor. Her most cherished times were spent with her family.
We are grateful to the staff of the Jewish Home and Compassionate Care Hospice who provided Lorraine with the care she needed over the course of her journey.
Lorraine will be missed dearly; never to be forgotten.
A private funeral service was held with services by Karen Rickaby and interment took place at Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
