Mark P. Williams

Mark P. Williams of Old Forge, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Saturday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.

Born in Scranton, son of Faith Jones Kimble, Port Orange, Fla., and the late Paul Williams, he was employed at Minooka Subaru and was a 1982 graduate of Abington Heights High School.

Mark had a passion for music, being an avid lifelong collector of a library of albums. Mark was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings. He will be remembered for his kind spirit. He was compassionate and had a love for animals.

Mark had the ability to always find humor in any situation. Anyone who had the opportunity to spend time with Mark could understand what a true friend he was. Mark found pleasure in the simple things in life. Friendship, love of his family and friends were Mark's most-treasured possessions. He enjoyed spending time with his mother in Florida, especially his most recent visit at Christmas. He will be missed by many.

Also surviving are a sister, Joy Kimble Kropiewnicki and husband, Dr. Robert Kropiewnicki, Mount Pocono; a brother, Kurt White, Ormond Beach, Fla.; a niece, Lauren Kropiewnicki, Mount Pocono; and his companion, Melissa A. Luland, Old Forge.

The family would like to thank Mark's employer at Minooka Subaru for all of the help and understanding during Mark's illness.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
