Mark W. Cikovic

Mark W. Cikovic, 90, of Clarks Summit died Wednesday Evening at Allied Skilled Nursing Home in Scranton. He was the widow of the late Louise M. Cikovic who died in 2007. The couple had been married 59 years.

Born in Lebanon, PA he was the son of the late Vit and Helen Posta Cikovic. Mark was employed by the Clarks Summit State Hospital for 35 years as an aide but primarily worked on his family farm in Newton. Mark and Louise purchased the farm many years ago and Mark worked his entire life to provide for his family. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit.

Also surviving are a son Victor Cikovic and wife Margaret, Scranton; two daughters Fran L. Macijowsky and husband Gene, Clarks Summit; Marie Greco and husband Neal Bridgewater, NJ, a sister Mary Boeshore, Lebanon, PA; grandchildren Marla Chikar, Ryan Steier, Jeremey Cikovic, and Shaun Cikovic, and two great-grandchildren Braydon Cikovic and Charlotte Rose Cikovic.

He was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

A Blessing Service will be held Today, August 31, at 11 am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.

The family will receive friend this morning from 10 until the time of the service.
