Marjorie B. Phillips, 82, of Clarks Summit, died Friday at the VNA Hospice Unit of Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Herbert J. Phillips, who died in 1994.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Floyd and Helen Thompson Foster, she was a resident of Clarks Summit for over 50 years. Before retiring, she had worked for the Abington Heights School District and McDonald's Pharmacy in Clarks Summit.

She was a member of the Ladies' Auxillary of VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit, where she served as treasurer for 20 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan E. Phillips, Factoryville; and Irene Warner and husband, James, Nicholoson; a brother, Donald Foster, Clarks Summit; two grandsons, Sean and Travis Wright; a great-granddaughter, Emma Wright; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton.

Friends may call Monday, 5 until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Ladies' Auxillary of VFW Post 7069, 402 Winola Road, Clarks Summit, 18411; or the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, 333 Madison Ave., Scranton, 18503.
