Marjorie J. McGrew, South Abington Township, died Saturday evening at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of the late Glen and Marie Gentz Millard.  She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and later of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit.

Marjorie put her faith in Jesus Christ as a young girl, and she never looked back. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31. She is remembered for gentle words, great compassion, and a life of faith. Her children follow her example in service to Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin G. McGrew, whom she married in 1957; her daughter, Bethel A. McGrew, South Abington Township; two sons, Timothy  J. McGrew and his wife Lydia, MI, and David B. McGrew and his wife Victoria, MD; two brothers John Millard, MI, and Karl Millard, MI; and grandchildren Bethel, Clara, Faith, Benjamin, Samuel, and Timothy McGrew.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11am at Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd., Clarks Summit.  Friends may call Saturday morning from 10am until the time of the service at the church.  Interment to follow in the Clarks Green Cemetery.
