Marjorie Ash R.N., died Saturday evening at Hospice of Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Ash who died in 1992.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Sara Greame Morgan. She was a graduate Central High School and Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, Bryn Mawr Pa. She served in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps during World War II and after discharge, worked as a private duty nurse and volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 34years. Marjorie was a member of the Chinchilla United Methodist Church and served as memorial secretary and a member of the Crusaders.
Surviving is a sister Mrs. Janet M. Stansbury, Clarks Summit, with whom she resided; a brother Rev. Robert E. Morgan, New Milford, NH; two nephews, Paul A. Blume and his wife Sheila, Endicott NY; and James W. Ash and his wife Jane, West Chester; three great nephews, and a great niece.
She was preceded in death by a brother John G. Morgan and a sister Helen Blume.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11am from the Chinchilla United Methodist Church, 411 Layton Rd. S. Abington Twp. Pa.18411.
