Marji Erickson, Clarks Summit died Friday morning at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. Her husband is Peter Erickson and the couple had been married for over 50 years.

Born in West Scranton she was the daughter of the late Armand and Mary Pizzo Fiorani. Prior to her retirement she worked in the business office for Bell Telephone Company, Martin's Hallmark Store in the Viewmont Mall, as well as Abington Travel. She was a devout Catholic and a loyal member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish.

Marji and her husband loved to travel, and for many years they went to Green Bay to see their beloved Packers. She was an avid Penn State fan and adored Joe Paterno, she and Pete attended many Bowl games to root on the Nittany Lions. They also made many trips to Disney World, and Nashville, TN; they toured the Canadian Rockies, Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks, as well as Yellowstone National Park. Their cruises to Alaska were real favorites.

Marji also loved collectibles, and was a huge animal lover, especially sea otters and buffalo. She was a longtime supporter of the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, and loved her dogs Camelot, Nittany Blue and Toby who predeceased her.

Also surviving is a brother, Armand Fiorani and his wife Bonnie, Moscow; their children, Suzie and Armand Jr. and his wife Cindy; a nephew Justin Summa and nieces, Bella, Ally and Abby; numerous cousins, and countless friends.

The Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 1pm from the Our Lady of Snows Parish, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. All those attending mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Dunmore Cemetery.
