Marion A. Knickerbocker, 86, Scranton, died Friday afternoon at the
Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Donald E. Knickerbocker.
Born in Muncy, daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Wagner Hauser.
She was a former member of the Crystal Roller Skating Club, at The Town Hall
Roller Rink.
In the late 1960's she started as a cook for Adrian's Victory Pig and
continued to work with several concepts, including Friendly's, retiring in
1997.
Marion was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, who
was always actively involved with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Diana McDonald, Clarks Summit and JoAnn
Marcinkevich, Scranton; a brother, Ralph Hauser, VA; grandchildren, Roy Jr.,
Ray, Frank, Robert, Ross, and Whitney McDonald, Shannon, David, and Susan
Koerner and Ed Marcinkevich; great grandchildren, Ray Jr., Rachel, Renee,
and Seanna.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna, two sisters and three
brothers
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1pm from the Lawrence E.
Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev.
Judy Wanck, pastor of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. Interment
will be private at the convenience of the family.
