Mario Cruciani, Scranton, passed away on August 7 th at Allied Hospice, Scranton. He is survived by his wife, Carol Davis Cruciani. The couple celebrated 59 years of marriage on July 28, 2021.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Oliver and Pauline Petrella Cruciani and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a Heavy Equipment Operating Engineer. Before retirement, he was a member of Local 100 Plaster and Cement Masons and worked with various area contractors.
Mario enjoyed hunting and watching the Philadelphia Eagles play and could often be found on his front porch chatting with friends or neighbors. Mario was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed.
Also surviving are his children: Lisa Stafursky Laskowski and husband Paul, Dean Cruciani and wife Leah, Scott Cruciani and companion Kristine Atkinson, and Dana Cruciani Monahan and husband Mark; grandchildren Evyn Stafursky and fiancé Hanh Nguyen; Isaac Laskowski, Jonah Laskowski, Brandon Cruciani, twins Nico and Sophia Cruciani, and Raigan Monahan; sisters Ann Marie Maloney and husband Jerry, and Judy Luciani; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandson Johnson Stafursky and brother Michael Cruciani and wife Dorothy.
Cremation and services were held privately per Mario's wishes.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
