Marie Dawn McHugh Aberth, of Glenburn Twp., and College Station Texas, died Tuesday morning at her summer home in Glenburn. She is the wife of Oliver Aberth. The couple had been married for fifty two years.

Born in Scranton, Dawn was the daughter of the late Romaine Geiger McHugh. She was a graduate of Abington Heights High School and Marywood College. She attended post graduate classes at the University Of Pennsylvania. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a computer programmer and taught math at elementary, high school, and college levels. Dawn attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in College Station Texas and Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit. She volunteered in her community in many ways over the years.

She was very athletic and participated in many sports, especially enjoying tennis. Dawn resided the last 40 years in College Station Texas, but still spent much of her time in Pennsylvania at her family farm near Clarks Summit, a place close to her heart.
Always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, she was a very loving woman with a real zest for life. Dawn was a beloved wife and mother, and she will be sorely missed.

Surviving are two daughter Karen Aberth, Elgin Tx.; and Lori Lambert, and husband Harold, Lufkin,Tx.; a son Karl Aberth, Bryan Tx.; a brother Tony McHugh, Friendsville Pa. grandchildren Jessica, Brenna, and Krista Lambert, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved uncle Willard Geiger.

The blessing service will be held Saturday a 9:30am in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa, 18411. Friends are asked to go directly to church. Interment will be in Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411.
