Marie Martin (Nee: Gaydos), 94, of Roselle Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013.
Relatives and friends kindly meet for the Office of Christian Burial service at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 417 McCandless Street, Linden at 10am. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
Visitation is 4 to 8 on Tuesday. Panachida
Born in Bayonne, NJ, Mrs. Martin lived in Roselle Park for 48 years.She was a Bank Manager at the Harmonia Bank in Elizabeth and Scotch Plains for 20 years, retiring in 1985.Mrs. Martin was a member of SS Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Elizabeth and a member of its Women's Club and Leisure Group. She was also a volunteer for the Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains and The Union Memorial Hospital for many years.
She is predeceased by her devoted husband William Martin.
Surviving is her loving daughter Janet McCormack and her husband John of Westfield; and loving son John Martin and his wife Carolyn of Clarks Green, PA; three cherished grandchildren, Jennifer O'Neil, Jill Ray and William Martin, three adored great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
