Marie Hammond

Marie Hammond, Scott Twp., died Friday evening at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore. She was the wife of Larry Hammond. The couple has been married for over 13 years.Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Louise Norma Walters Howey. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of the house plants.Also surviving are four sons, Victor and David Lynn of Scranton; Daniel Jones, Trenton N.J.; and Glenn Allen of Philadelphia; a daughter, Sabrina Jones and her husband, David, Trenton, N.J.; two brothers; five sisters; several nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
