Marie A. Dominiak, 90, of South Abington Twp. died Wednesday morning at Abington Manor surrounded by her family. Her husband of 67 years is Edward F. Dominiak.
Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Farino Lomeo. She graduated from Clarks Summit high school and worked in the garment industry.
Marie's greatest joy was to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to read and work on word puzzles.
Surviving are a daughter Susan Sopko, and husband Richard, S. Abington Twp; two sisters Josephine Supinski and Jean Kosinski; a brother, Robert Lomeo, five grandchildren, Mike Grieboski, Nicole Weber, and husband Rob; Tracy Almekinder and husband Byron, Richard Sopko and wife Ashlee, and Christopher Sopko, two great-grandchildren Logan Sopko and Piper Almekinder, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Grieboski and son in law Daniel, three brothers Samuel, John, and Joseph Lomeo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 25 at 10:00 am from the Church of St. Gregory 330 N. Abington Rd. Clarks Green. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Twp.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 am until 9:45 am at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Center Foundation, 2010 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509.
