Marian S. Perry, 99, of Scranton, formerly of Glenburn, died Friday morning at Allied Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of John W. Perry, who died in 1989.
Born Aug. 10, 1912, in Shenandoah, daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Drulia Kulp, she was a resident of Glenburn from 1962 through 1987, before moving to Scranton. Before retirement, Marian was a hostess and cashier at the former Castle Restaurant for more than 20 years. She was a devout Catholic as a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit, the Women's Guild and its choir.
She is survived by a stepson, John W. Perry Jr., Dalton; a sister, Leona Roman, Hazleton; and a nephew, Anthony Kulp, New York.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Quader and Evelyn Ryan; and a brother, Sigmund Kulp.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
