Margaret Ross of Forest City died Tuesday afternoon at Forest City Nursing Center. She was the widow of Ashbel Ross Sr., who died in 1998.
Born in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late John and Rachel George Sossong. Before her retirement, she was a laundry folder for Pat and Angelo Colmbes at Supreme Laundry.
She was a religious, loving and giving person.
Surviving are five daughters, Virginia Fairclough, and husband, William, Jefferson Twp.; Carol Pierce, and husband, Ralph, Philadelphia; Suzanne Ross, Nicholson; Dorothy Ross, and husband, Robert, Dalton; and Delores Steinbacher, and husband, John, Dillwyn, Va.; two sons, Ashbel Ross Jr., and Thomas Frances Ross both of Dimock; three sisters, Helen Mohoyla, Louise Gilbride, and Dorothy Sossong; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with service by the Rev. John Craig. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale.
Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
