Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, companion, and friend. Peg quietly slipped away on August 12th with Danny and Betsy lovingly by her side. Her positive outlook on life and will to live enabled her to live a happy and full life.

Peg was a seasoned real estate agent who enjoyed the many friendships she developed within her profession and with her clients. Her joie de vivre was infectious and for all that knew her, one never knew what to expect. She was an actress through and through, her ability to break into a robust song when a favorite tune was played or a mood struck, she entertained many an audience both large and small. She will be forever remembered for her leading roles with the Abington Players in Desperate Hours, South Pacific and of course her infamous MAME.

Peg loved her game of bridge and upon moving to North Carolina she and her sister met up with a great group of gals and enjoyed their weekly games at the club. She eagerly awaited the New York Times crossword puzzle each Sunday and with pen in hand would tackle it by day's end. She was a voracious reader and always had a couple of books in progress. Peg had a keen sense of humor and a quiet allure, anyone who met her, never forgot her.

She enjoyed her time at the beach where recently she and her family spent a week together at Emerald Isle this past July. That time with her will help soothe the loss her family feels.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Coombes, son Scott Haver, son Geoffrey Haver and wife Antoinette, daughter Elizabeth Rice and husband Todd, grandchildren John and Stephen Rice, Olivia Haver, Mark Haver, Rosemary Culkin, great grandchild Aidan Rice and her beloved companion of 32 years, Daniel Marzani, along with nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit, PA on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Waverly Community House to benefit the Memorial Library. The Comm holds a special place in the family's heart. Please send your donation to: Waverly Community House, PO Box 142, Waverly, PA 18471
