Margaret Elizabeth Girello

Margaret Elizabeth Girello of Clarks Summit died Sunday morning in her home. Her husband is Riccardo Girello Sr. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September.

Born in Johnson City, N.Y., daughter of the late Peter and Mary Dekar, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit. Before retiring, she was the secretary for Third National Bank.

She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a zest for life and loved swimming, reading, bingo, spending time with friends and looked forward to living in Florida each winter.

Also surviving are three daughters, Denise Reinhart and husband, William, Waverly; Joanie Garnecki and husband, Frank, Clarks Summit; and Bonnie Richards, Dalton; a son, Riccardo Jr. and wife, Terri, Anniston, Ala.; a brother, William Dekar, Johnson City; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda and Cara; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Dekar.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Cemetery, Vestal, N.Y. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit.
